The Reason(s) I Love Patricia Swayne
Everything below is an excerpt from her blog. Not only is it substantial, but it’s hilarious too. That girl.
“I will not let the devil use me.” This is what I will say every time I get ready to wear somebody out, directly or indirectly.
“I will not let the devil use me. I will not be a vessel for his work.”
It’s hilariously real. Can you imagine? For every mean-spirited, hurtful, evil, and sometimes NECESSARY thing you could say to someone who may be undeniably DESERVING –you just decide to PAY IT?
Sometimes, you have to get that stuff out. Other times, it saves you so much energy to simply zip your lips, arrange your tits and sit. Pretty.
When you can help it, do not be a vehicle for devilish works! Rebuke that man and his influences. Don’t let the devil use you on any day the Lord has made.
(dot, dot, dot…)
But don’t be mistaken.
I will do the LORD’s work at the drop of a dime in an offering plate, immediately, on cue, and without error–when provoked.
Nevertheless, Jesus be a muzzle.
